My Little Boy

As I was driving my first born to his first day of middle school, everything in me was calm. As we passed the high school he saw the seminary building and asked, "Is that the cemetery room?" I smiled and laughed a little, mostly inside. He really still is my little boy, but not for long. He said that his stomach hurt-my little boy was a little nervous. I rubbed his back with reasurrance and love. Then he quickly left with a quick goodbye and I love you. I drove away. Smiling quickly changed into unexpected tears.

Gorgeous St. George

Over Memorial Day Weekend Our family went to St. George and spent a day in Zion.
The weather was perfect! I bought a tent and decided to go with a roomy eight man tent. That thing is nice! We could fit a queen size blow up mattress and all four kids and still have room to spare. I got made fun of all weekend.
Taylor and Halee giving Uncle Brent a nice back massage.
The kids kept busy finding frogs, furry caterpillars, looking for wild turkeys, spotting lizards, swimming and just having fun with cousins.

Brent took us to Little Black Mountain where there are many ancient Indian Petroglyphs. It was cool.

My Baby's Growing Up

My baby graduated from preschool! The program was so cute. As we all stood to recite the pledge of allegance, it was so hard for me to hold back the tears. I couldn't believe how well they all could recite it! It was touching.

I'm really going to miss going to Miss Heidi's preschool. For the past four years I've had Taylor or Halee going there. Heidi and Marianne have been wonderful. You can never have too many good people in a child's life to care about them.

Halee is so excited to start kindergarten. She is a smart little thing. Big Attitude-Itty bitty body!

Grandma and Grandpa are always so supportive! Thanks for coming.

Way to Go Karli

Karli entered the reflections contest at school for the first time this year. The theme was "Wow". She painted a picture of dolphins at sunset. It was all her own idea and she didn't look at anything. She won an honorable mention for her art. I think she did a really good job. She is a bit of a perfectionist though because she was a little disappointed that she didn't win a trophy. We are so proud of you Karli.
