Way to Go Karli

Karli entered the reflections contest at school for the first time this year. The theme was "Wow". She painted a picture of dolphins at sunset. It was all her own idea and she didn't look at anything. She won an honorable mention for her art. I think she did a really good job. She is a bit of a perfectionist though because she was a little disappointed that she didn't win a trophy. We are so proud of you Karli.

My Baby is Five!

On November 18, 2003 Halee Rachelle Mecham was born. She is our youngest of four. It's hard to believe that it's been five years! It's a little sad. Next year she will start kindergarten and I will find myself with the free time I've been dreaming of. Now that this free time is coming closer I'm not so sure that's what I want. Can't she stay my baby forever? Halee is a beautiful young lady who won't be pushed around, yet she knows how to milk her "baby of the family" status. She loves to play mommy of 4 to 6 babies. It's not uncommon to find her pushing a stroller loaded with dolls and loading a carrier with a couple more. When she goes across the street to play with her friend, Bryson, she finds all of his baby brother's empty bottles hiding around the house and brings them to his mom. One time Halee spearheaded the "no bear bum mission" at Bryson's house. They got all the stuffed animals they could find and without Karen catching them until the mission was complete, they diapered every bears' bum. After removing the diapers, Bryson's mom now had a lovely basket full of all ready unfolded diapers for her to use. Halee will make an excellent mother one day.
She loves babies so much that she wanted to have a baby birthday party. The invitations read:"It's a Girl and she's 5! Halee's not a baby any more but she is having a baby birthday party." We decorated like it was a baby shower. I even got a call from the R.S. president that noticed the I'ts a girl banner on the front door and was wondering if she missed something.
We tasted baby food, played pin the binky on the baby's mouth, baby bingo, and had a baby dressing relay. The kids took home real baby bottles. Now Halee and Karli are drinking from them! I don't want to have to ween her again. What have I done!

All I Want For Christmas...

Taylor came home from school excited to show me a tooth necklace hanging around his neck. Well you know what that means! I screamed with excitement, "Let me see!" I was surprised because it wasn't very loose. He's a very determined little boy. Once he's got his mind set on something he won't stop till it's done. I told him, "Now all you want for Christmas is your two front teeth, right?" He just smiled his cute toothless grin. I don't think he's ever heard that song. I'm going to have to teach it to him.

We're Having Another Baby!

So I was looking through family pictures on the computer and came across this one of me just a week before I delivered Halee. I said to Trevor, "Goll, I look so much better when I'm pregnant. Just look at my face how full it is. I look healthier." Trevor told me, "Just have another baby." I said, "Yeah right! Like that's gonna happen." (He tells me all the time that we are definately done having kids.) Then he said, "I'll have another baby with you." I got kind of excited inside and started to believe him. "You really will?" I asked (I'm so gullable.) "No! We're definately done," he said. "I knew that's how you'd react that's why I said that." How Rude!

What a Season!

Nate's team played in their final game on Saturday, which was also for the championship. We played against Riverton and finally after 3 years we could have the pleasure of wasting them. This was the first time we've won in the finals. It was great! Nate got some amazing plays. He tackled a guy and made him fumble the ball which we in turn recovered. He had a great run and he even got to pass the ball.

This was a great season, and now that it's over I don't know what Trevor will do with all of his free time.

Way to play hard all season Nate! We are so proud of you!

Barefoot and Happy

See that cute little snow bunny....

She was so excited for the snow that she couldn't wait to put shoes on. She was running aroound in the snow barefoot and happy. Notice that she at least has a coat on. She'll either wear a coat or shoes but not both at the same time.

Get This Tooth Out

When I picked Taylor up from school yesterday, he got in the car and showed me how loose his tooth was. It was all purple around the gums so I asked, "Did you bump it?" He said, "No. When we were at computers I kept twisting it!" He was determined after that point to get that tooth out. He sat in front of the mirror pulling and twisting. My brother said,"Come here. I want to see what you look like with your baby teeth one last time." My little boy is growing up. It's sad and exciting at the same time. He's excited so I guess I have to be too. Once he pulled out his tooth and was very proud, I said, "Let me see your new smile. Oh you look so cute. Now start working on the other one."

"The tooth fairy brought me two gold quarters." he said first thing this morning.

Happy Halloween

I love that one day a year I can be totally wild and crazy and no one will judge me for it. We like this new look so much, we may start dressing like this on the weekends! Now I can see why girls are attracted to Bad Boyz. Isn't he hot!? At first Nate didn't want me to dress like this at his school. But I talked him into it. His friends all thought I was cool. Well I do look pretty rockin'! I got up at 5:30 to get ready for the day. I had three parties at school to help with and right after school- a scouts party. I was in charge of Nate's party with a class of 27 sixth graders and it turned out great!

BFF's Forever

A Witchy Night Out!

My friends are always ready for a crazy night out. We met these awesome witches and had to get our pictures with them. I just wish that you could see the shoes I was in-Hot pink stilettos! Not too comfy but very stylish. By the end of the night I could barely walk.

Preschool Pumpkin Patch

I got to go with Halee on her preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch. It was such

a beautiful day!

Halee and her cute friend Sophee.

They even had a fun little corn maze.

Halee Has Spoken

As we were driving tonight Karli noticed the temple and said, "Look at that beautiful temple."

"Is that the Salt Lake Temple?" she asked. I said, "That is the Jordan River Temple."

Halee proudly announced, "The Jordan River is where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist!"

Good Corny Fun

Can you imagine anything more fun than being burried in corn?
These guys can't.
Our friends let us tag along with them to Cornbelly's the other night.
There were all sorts of corny attractions like the corn house, a corn maze, jumping pillow, cow tractor train rides, slides and even more.

It's a good thing we have friends that will let us tag along with them on their fun adventures or we probably wouldn't do much of anything.

Everyone was in the corn except for Trevor... and with enough prodding from our friends he actually did a swan dive, more like belly flop into the corn. Yeah, not as soft as he thought it would be.

View of the moon from inside the corn maze.
We could only stand it for about five minutes in there! Not much fun getting lost in the corn with a whole bunch of little kids.

TaYloR's MoNsTeR mAsH bOwLiNg BaSh

For Taylor's Birthday he had a fun bowling party with his friends. Everyone wore a nametag with their own monster name that they made up themselves. If anyone called them by their real name they would get to put an eyeball sticker on them. At the end of the night whoever ended up with the most eyeballs on them won a prize.

The winner was Morgan Anderson...oh I mean Professor Poopie Pants.

We were able to all drive in one vehicle because my friend let us use her Suburban, and my other friend took my girls to and from gymnastics. Thank you friends...you know who you are! I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends.

Rip It Up

Nate is rippin' it up this year! His team is doing so well. I am so proud of how hard he plays. I would be a huge wimp-especially when it's raining and snowing! Trevor is helping coach Nate's team, so he is at every practice. I am glad that they have sports to share together. I really don't understand that much of the game, but when Nate has a great tackle, gets a good run or makes an awesome catch I get really excited. Go Nate! Check out his team blog at www.mitymitewhite.blogspot.com

This Girl Rocks!

HaPpY biRtHdAy KaRli!!!!

Karli celebrated her 9th birthday on September 20. She loved being eight so much that she wasn't sure that she wanted to turn nine. But after her party she decided that she was ok with being nine, although eight will always be her favorite number.
She had a rockin

Girls Rock Concert Party.
She had 12 girls total attend. When they arrived my friend Karen and I would scream the girls' names and take them inside to get on their rockstar attire. Once everyone arrived we did a glitzy makeover and a photo shoot. Karli and her best friend Madison made up a dance and taught it to all the girls. We had a wild night of screaming, dancing,

laughing and all the ice cream they could eat!
It had to be the best party of all time. I've had several people tell me how much their daughters enjoyed themselves. One said that it was the best night of her entire life. Wow! That's awesome.

In all she got five webkinz, just what she wanted!
